About This Opportunity

Locally known as the Senior Principal Consultant, Leadership Development, you will design and implement initiatives in a range of areas including leadership, culture, change, performance, talent management, and organisational capability.

You will work collaboratively to provide expertise and coaching to various HR teams across the University on organisational development related areas and includes design and delivery of specialised training where relevant.

Some key responsibilities include the:

  • Design and facilitation of the UQ leadership programs across the University to a diverse audience including the development of participant resources.
  • Design and facilitation of customised development sessions across the University in areas such as performance, planning, team building, change as well as other organisational capabilities areas.
  • Coach leaders through career development and debriefing 360 leadership survey findings.
  • Facilitate DiSC debriefing session within the context of both small and large teams.
  • Coordinates delivery of leadership development initiatives and evaluates effectiveness of offerings to further develop the offerings through a continuous improvement. 
  • Establish and develop significant stakeholder relationships and build a reputation across the University as an expert and trusted advisor to both University management and the HR Division.
  • Actively contributes to the development and execution of the HR team’s strategic objectives
  • Working in close cooperation with HR Leadership and Senior Management across the University, supports successful change management, communication and training activities

This is a full-time, fixed-term position through to August 2024.

At HEW Level 8, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $105,338.31 to $118,280.70, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $123,245.82 – $138,388.42 annually. 

About You

  • A passion for organisational development and an extensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary OD practise and trends, particularly in leadership, change, culture, talent management and capability assessment.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; OR          
    extensive experience and management expertise; OR        
    an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully designing and delivering leading organisational development strategies and initiatives, from conception through to implementation and evaluation in a large diverse organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high quality staff development training, workshops and organisational development initiatives, particularly in leadership, change, culture, talent management and capability assessment.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain productive and influential working relationships with clients and key stakeholders, particularly at senior levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to write and present with clarity.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, work independently and meet deadlines.
