Position Details
An exciting opportunity to join our team and play an important role in the Victorian Academy of Teaching and Leadership (Academy).

In 2021, the Minister for Education announced the investment of $148.2 million in developing the Academy – a new statutory authority.

The Academy sets a new benchmark for educational excellence in Australia. As a statutory authority, our influence spans government, Independent and Catholic school sectors, giving us the reach and unique ability to further enhance the teaching and leadership of Victorian educators. Our professional learning courses and programs contribute to improving outcomes for students and to elevating the teaching profession. The Academy’s Communications & Marketing (CM) team coordinate efforts to influence the public perceptions of the profession, manage the Academy brand and its channels, and connect participants into relevant programs through targeted marketing. The CM team strategically influence the work of the Academy to provide coordinated and sequenced advocacy opportunities. These efforts will raise public awareness of the capability and status of school leaders and teachers in the science and practice of teaching.

The focus of this role is to lead the Communications and Marketing team in developing engaging and innovative content, aligned with the overall objectives of the Academy and to publish and produce content across multiple platforms and channels. The role will manage the provision of tailored and targeted communications and marketing campaigns to audiences across the entire Victorian education sector. The role will also work across the Academy to ensure consistency of messaging and building the Academy brand.
